THE PATH OF HEART: LOVE LESSONS - AN INTRODUCTION
The mystical heart is known as the temple of God and the abode of the soul. It therefore contains the essence of our being and its divine attributes. It is through the evolution of the love process in us, the continual expansion and deepening of the heart quality that leads us to soul, to self-realization and to God. This is the path of the lover of life - the Path of Heart.

THE RELATIONSHIP PARADOX & THE IDEAL OF FRIENDSHIP: WE NEED EACH OTHER:
All life is relationship. The importance of these relationships from birth to death relate directly to the growth, health, well-being, maturation, and longevity of the individual. However, while relationships are necessary for life, they can also be difficult, problematic and at times abusive. Individuals develop through their life experiences coping mechanisms that can be facilitative or destructive of positive, life-fulfilling relationships. These “defensive strategies” will be reviewed and practical suggestions provided to facilitate meaningful, life-sustaining relationships.

STRESS MANAGEMENT: RELAXING,COPING AND TAKING RESPONSIBILITY:
Stress is understood to play a most active role in the cause of most physical and psychological disease states. Being able to better cope with stress is therefore essential in the prevention and healing of biological and psychological dysfunctions. This introductory lecture will provide an overview to help understand stress, its causes and its effects upon the individual, and provide conceptual and practical methods for positive coping.

A HOLISTIC APPROACH TO HEALTH AND WELL BEING: THE CHOICE IS OURS:
Provides an overview of concepts and assumptions concerning aging, emphasizes the importance of nurturing all aspects of oneself – physical, psychological, emotional and spiritual, gives helpful insights into “conscious aging”, and inspires one to use the challenges of life as opportunities for renewal and rebirth.

SPIRITUALITY, AGING AND EMOTIONAL WELL-BEING:
A review of the particular mental and emotional challenges inherent through the aging process. The utilization of spirituality and ones own spiritual development as a resource in meeting these challenges, and the benefits derived from active engagement in this process – enhancement of meaning and purpose, increased wisdom and power, a source of guidance and direction and social support amongst others.

POETRY EDUCATION: POETRY AS GUIDE, HEALER AND COMFORTER.
Poetry is known to have therapeutic results - results that can heal, inspire, motivate, provide solace and understanding and bring joy to one’s heart and soul.  Selected poems from great poets will be read with discussion to follow.  Copes of the poems will be provided.

THE STRUGGLE OF LIFE: WHAT OUR PARENTS AND TEACHERS NEVER TAUGHT US:
While it is socially correct to believe the fantasy that "life is just a bowl of cherries", in reality there are pits in these cherries, and life is really a struggle for all. This struggle consists of three aspects; the struggle with oneself, the struggle with others and the struggle with conditions and situations. This introductory lecture brings to awareness an overview of this struggle, speaks to its inherent concepts, demands, truths, dilemmas and paradoxes, and provides methods and suggestions for resolution.

POSITIVE ATTITUDE DEVELOPMENT: OPTIMISM WITH OPEN EYES:
Life is 90% attitude and 10% everything else. In the main, it is one's attitude in life that determines one's overall sense of well-being, happiness, and sense of success. While we may not be able to escape all the calamities that life can bring, essentially, we can determine how we interpret and react to them. Also, one's attitude literally helps create the quality and kinds of experiences for good or bad that we have. This presentation provides an introduction to the importance of attitude, and its power in molding our lives, and how one can choose to develop a positive attitude - a love and a zest for life.
